message me or warn when it reaches a certain quantity

Hi, I just wonder if this is possible or anyway to do it. I have a stock count cell formula in a workbook and it adds a column, I wonder if there was a way to give me a warning automatically when the sum of the columns equals or greater than 500 without opening the worksheet.
So basically to tell me to order supplies when it reaches 500 without me having to open the sheet each day to check on it.

I was reading that, but instead of email I want to post a message on the computer screen or someway to alert/warn me with a message box
