cell widths in a column

Can i have different cell widths in the same column. I am making up labels but want them as a 1in strip.

I have tried creating different sheets, the first sheet uses rows 1 to 3, the second sheet starts at row 5 to 8, the trouble is that both sheets want to start printing at the top of the sheet.

Hi,

No you can't do exactly that in Excel- you can create that appearance using merged cells if necessary. Perhaps you could use Word - you can do that with tables in Word.

Never gave Word a thought, going to make have to scratch my head now, beens years since i used tables.
