Lightbulb Display on a new worksheet elements of previous ones (Complicated to explain)

    Hello guys,

Can you please help me to figure out how to solve this problem? For instance, i have several worksheets that represent years (2014,2015,2016). These sheets contain company names (Nike, Puma, Coca-Cola).

I want to create a new sheet where it will display if Coca-Cola/Nike/Puma is present in 2014,2015 or 2016. I can be present in one worksheet,2,or threee.
I hope that I made myself clear.
thx for any ideas or support!

    Welcome to the forum!

Attach a sample workbook with a manual mock-up of what you want to achieve. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

I did not give you an update on forum rules! I gave you information about how to attach a workbook. I cannot work with screenshots - please attach your workbook here as explained above.

Would you be happy using hidden helper columns?

@Glenn Kennedy, thank you very much for your assistance, it certainly makes things yeasier. Now I am thinking to convert "Yes" into 1 and then use it to calculate the number of years it has been valid for, or something like that.
@AliGW, I wouldn't have a problem to hide, use white to color some columns if it helps to make things more realistic.

In D7, copied across and down:

    =IF($C7="","",IF(ISNUMBER(MATCH($C7,INDIRECT("'"&D$6&"'!C6:C50"),0)),1,0))

Please note that, because of the use of INDIRECT, the range C6:C50 is static. If you need more rows: change the 50 to whatever you need. Do not go mad and set it to 10,000 if you only need 200: as this will slow your sheet down...
