    Formula for ranking

Does anybody know of a formula for ranking individuals that will give me the answer 3 out of 12.... So I have 12 total individuals and this individual is 3 out of those 12. I know how to use =rank and get a single number. Was just wondering if you could get an answer of X/the total?

    You mean like ...

    =large(A1:A12, 3)
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate

No that didn't work. If I have 12 total people and I want to sort them from 1-12, I want the answer to be 3 out of 12 or 3/12 or something that shows the total number of participants rather than just showing a 3.

Is there a function for that?

    Like this:

    =RANK(A1,A1:A20,1)&"/"&COUNT(A1:A20)
