How do I stop suggestion when starting with a dash?

Hi, I want to start a cell with a dash. So I selected a sheet then - format cell-- then text excel2010

Now I can start with - , but excel gives me suggestion in a pop-up box .
So when i put -v I get suggestions value,var.p,var.
How do I stop this ?

Hi,

You can use an apostrophe before the dash/negative sign.

Go to File, Find "Excel Option"
Click on Formulas
Find " Formula autoComplete"
Untick
Ok
