Hmm ... is it something you can post here (or is the size to large ?). Maybe we can do something with it ??

I haven't tried these third party programs but if you make a copy of the corrupted file to experiment with, guess it would be worth a try ?

Re: Excel file can not be read

    Hi there,

    Please follow the steeps:

On the File tab, click Open.

In the Open dialog box, select the corrupted workbook that you want to open.

Click the arrow next to the Open button, and then click Open and Repair.

    Do one of the following:

To recover as much of the workbook data as possible, click Repair.

To extract values and formulas from the workbook when an attempt to repair the workbook is not successful, click Extract Data.

Hope this can help you !

    Hi Bob,

There is a corruption in your Excel file. Use Open and Repair option to repair your Excel file. If this option won't work then download the free version of this Excel repair tool: http://www.stellarinfo.com/repair-excel-file.php

Note: Demo version is able to show see the preview of data.

Don not use above program. It is useless.

First of all try the following steps:
    1. Open the application.
    2. Click on*File*->*Options.
    3. Select*Trust Center*and press the*Trust center settings*button
    4. Pick*Protected view.
Also once I have used this app - http://www.xls.repair/

Hope it will work for you.
