copy date display format to another cell with same display format but as text

hi,

i have rows of date in column A which is displayed as "yyyymmdd"
how do i copy the display format to column B but as text format

example:

A1 has a date/value of 06/25/16 but displayed as 20160625
im thinking format first column B as text

how do i make B1 have a value/display of 20160625?

put the formula on column C then copied the values to column B
