VLOOKUP in Data validation based on named ranges

    Hi,

I currently have a data validation list based on names ranges using IF statements. (ie IF(A1 = "A",Range_A...etc) This is becoming cumbersome and I think the better solution would be to have a vlookup where the result is the named range, therefore that is what is shown in the dropdown.

Can anyone help me build this formula?

I have attached an example of what I am trying to achieve and hope that this helps.

    many thanks in advance.

Use this as your data validation range:

    =$C$10:$C$13

Then you can use this in any formula that needs one of the ranges:

    =INDIRECT(B2)
