Conditional Formating when a range of cells ALL have values in them

    Hi Everybody

I have a motor repairs spreadsheet to simply track when repairs have been started, some feedback and then the date returned to service.
I'm looking to use Conditional Formatting that basically 'Strikes Through' the line, but only once all of the cells within the group have been filled in.

ie, there must be dates, comments, costs etc in all cells from A1...A8

Once all of the cells have a value, use Conditional Formatting to strike through the line of text as if to show that job as completed

    Any help would be appreciated

Happy Christmas to everybody in the meantime

    Regards
    John

Use this as your CF formula:
    =COUNTA($A$1:$A$8)=8

Re: Conditional Formating when a range of cells ALL have values in them

    Hi Glenn

Thank you for the very fast reply, that works perfectly

In hindsight, I actually meant the rows go across the sheet (my mistake), so should have been A1...H1 etc, but i've got the idea

However, when i try to copy the same CF to the next line, eg A2...H2, the formatting in line 1 is brought straight into line 2, without the need for ALL cells to be filled first ?

I'm thinking its to do with the $ part of the formula but can't seem to get it right just yet .... any help you could provide would be great

    The $ locks the cells.

If you want to drag down you need to hit F4 until it looks like $A1:$A8
