    Use cell value to change value inside of formula

    Hi everyone. I am trying to use a cell to change the value inside of a formula. Ive attached a basic sheet showing what I'm looking for.

    Welcome to the forum.

    You can use INDIRECT. In your example, this formula will give you SUM(A3+A4) if '3' is in C3 - if you change C3 to '1', you'll get SUM(A1+A4):

    You can use Indirect function:
    =Sum(Indirect("A"&C3)+A4)
