    Formula or Conditional formatting?

I have a spreadsheet with dates in column D, I want it to be able to highlight the cells if the date is over 15 days old, and there is nothing in column E.

Really not sure where I need to start with this, as to if its a formula or conditional formatting.

I you want the cells to be highlighted then you'll need a cond. format. If you just want to mark an adjacent cell with something then a formula.

For the cond.format in D1 put

    Formula: copy to clipboard

and format the cell with whatever colour / font you want. Apply this to all the column D cells

To mark a cell in say column F the formula is much the same
    Formula: copy to clipboard
