    Establish a Format rule and Formula based on >= + Counta

    I am trying to solve a problem by either using a conditional formatting rule or establishing a formula and would like to try 2 solutions to see which is best and wonder if anyone can help me.

    What I am trying to do is: A; create a format rule and B; and a formula (the formula would return either a 1 or a 0) based on the following.

    if(AT2>=9 and (Counta) H4,J4,L4,N4,P4,R4,T4,V4,X4)>2+(Counta) I4,K4,M4,O4,Q4,S4,U4,$W4,Y4)>2

    I do hope you can follow what I am after and thanks for looking.

    Please upload a workbook or a representative cut down copy, anonymised if necessary. It is always easier to advise if we can see your request in its context.

    Show a before and after situation with manually calculated results, explaining which information is data and which is results, and if it's not blindingly obvious how you have arrived at your results some explanatory notes as well.

    At first glance you appear to be counting the whole of the range H:Y so it's not clear why you're breaking the range into two.
