Hi, Lotus123 has (had?) a command that allowed all formulae to be protected without having to first identify each cell with a formula (/Worksheet/Global/Protect/Formula) - does Excel have an equivalent?

It's a long time since my 123 days but from memory I think Excel's behaviour is similar.
With Excel all cells are locked to prevent entry by default, however this doesn't take effect until the sheet is protected. Think of it like a field with an electric fence around it. The fence has no effect until the electricity is switched on.
When you apply sheet protection in Excel there are various options you can choose, two of which are select locked and select unlocked cells. Picking select locked when applying sheet protection means that you can select the cell but can't change it.
