Question Help with setup of pivot table

    Hello again everyone!

I was wondering if someone could help me with a problem i have.

I work for a company that sells commodities (for this case i jsut need help with coffee), I have a sheet with our internal countries of origins and destinations along with the amount (in tons) that we send.

I also have a sheet with the global data of origins and destinations along with the amount in tons as well.

I'm trying to set up a comparison chart to see where we are strong, where we are weak and where we are missing untapped opportunities.

Thank you very much in advanced for the help!

Hi jdrockefeller and Welcome to Excel Forum.
I'd suggest that you upload a sample of what you have in mind, as far as tying the data from the two sheets together, to serve as a starting point.
    To attach a sample workbook:
    1) Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need.
    2) Remember to desensitize the data if necessary.
    3) Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
Let us know if you have any questions.
Consider taking the time to add to the reputation of everybody that has taken the time to respond to your query.

I see no validity in that comment. I have checked on all 5 of your thread, and found this...

01-20-2017, 02:11 PM #1 Title "Populate and Print for Each Employee"
Result - after only 6 hours, you posted on there - "remove this thread"

01-23-2017, 04:23 PM #1 Title "Match Row To Cell Problem"
Result - A senior member responded within the hour, and made some suggestions/observations, which apparently not to your liking. You did not really respond much after that, and within 2 hours, thanks everyone for their support.

    01-24-2017, 08:47 AM #1 Title "Sort on 3 Worksheets"
Result - within 4 hours, you had a reply, to which you responded that you had figured it out for yourself.

01-24-2017, 01:12 PM #1 Title "Formula for current year"
Result - within 2 minutes, you had a reply which worked for you

01-24-2017, 09:11 AM #1 Title "Human Resources Training Log Design"
Result - after less than 3 hours, you deleted the question and posted "forget the help"

Something to keep in mind when asking for help on ANY free forum - members here offer their help for FREE and they offer it WHEN they can. You are not paying for help, and members are not being paid to help (not even the gurus, mods and admin), so a little patience goes a long way.

That being said, members will offer to assist as and when they can, and not on demand. If you dont get the help you want, quick enough, consider hiring someone that you can then order around.

Also, consider reviewing our rules again, there is a part in there concerning bumbing threads if you do not have a response within a day (not an hour)

Hopefully that clears somethings up for you?
    Thanks

Re: Help with setup of pivot table

Hey! first of all thank you for helping me out!

What im looking for is mostly to compare me vs the general numbers (i.e what % of the total I am) and where there's a market i can go to that i haven't tapped yet.

Re: Help with setup of pivot table

I am guessing that you mainly want to compare the destinations. I made two pivot tables, one for World and one for Me. I then put a column to the right of the world pivot table that gives the percentage of the World's mT provided by Me.
