    Copying comments

I have a main workbook that pulls information from other (more frequently updated) workbooks.
Some cells that are copied over have comments added to them. Is there a way to transfer those comments, should they exist?

I don't have a way to track which cells may or may not have a comment, I was just hoping there was a general check box somewhere, that maybe I'm missing.

    Hi,

Are you linking to the other cell or copying and pasting.

If you're already copying the cell then just paste the comment as well. It won't matter if there is no comment, although you could have the macro check first if you wanted
    i.e. after a Copy

    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Re: Copying comments

AH yeah, see that's the thing. So each employee has a workbook, from which certain cells, worksheets, and data are transferred to my MAIN workbook. They are already in place and in use. I'm wondering if there is a way (Formula, magic fairy dust or otherwise) to include any comments that may be made on any of those cells being copied over?

Currently the information inside of the cell is transferred to my workbook, but if they add a comment box. That's not really IN THE CELL, just attached to the cell, that doesn't auto copy over.

I'm wondering if there's maybe a blanket formula or macro to copy over any/all comments??
