Calculating number of days left in a Month

I have to determine how many days would be left in a month to subtract off a year for a total number of days. Likely easier to give example then explain

I have a contract that expires June 15th and I want to renew for the balance of that year to get to a year end billing. So the total number of days left would be 198days. Is there a formula that I can us to calculate the number of days left in the year to do this? Also is there a similiar formula for days remaining in a month?

Actual formula will depend on your worksheet set up.

Remaining days in year:
=DATE(2017,12,31)-DATE(2017,6,15+1)

Remaining days in a month:
=EOMONTH(DATE(2017,6,15),0)-DATE(2017,6,15+1)

If cell has date value, then replace DATE function with cell reference.
