Can't find External Link

I have a file with an external link that I can't find. I have tried:

- Find for "["...nothing found
- Been through all of the names ranges and deleted any external links there
- Removed all Macros

I have no charts or anything else

What could I be missing? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

You appear to have tried all the stuff I'd normally try. In extremis my fall back position is to adopt what I call a binary deletion approach.

Take a copy of the file and delete half the sheets. If the link has disappeared then you know the link was in the sheets you've deleted so Undo and delete half of the sheets you previously deleted and check again.

Repeat this process until you've arrived at a single sheet that contains the link.
Then adopt the same approach but deleting half the rows, checking and repeating as necessary until you arrive at a single row that contains the link.

Then repeat deleting half the columns...etc.

The learning point for me was that Find doesn't find if the thing you're looking for is within a grouped range that has been minimised.
