Thanks in advance.

Ask me how to hate XL.
Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.
Remember to desensitize the data.
Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

In "subtotal" function you can use "Average", "Count", "Counta", "Max", "Min", "Sum", "Stddev", & many more.
Assume you would like to use sum. then use formula as per your range.
Suppose your range is "B2:B23" then use formula in "B24" as : =SUBTOTAL(9,$B$2:$B$23)
9 stand for "sum" and range is $B$2:$B$23
Secondly if you filtered your data then also sum of filter range only.

If my answer (or that of other members) has helped you, please say "Thanks" by clicking the Add Reputation button at the foot of one of their posts.
Also: if your problem is solved, please take the time to mark your thread as SOLVED by going to the top of your first post, selecting "Thread Tools" and then "Mark thread as solved".
Numbers 1-11 include manually hidden rows, whereas 101-111 exclude them.
If any row mannually hide, then correct for subtotal(109) This calculated mannyally hide value, where subtotal(9) not calculated.
Hope this will clear. Try with both in sample file & mannually hide any row.
