Background Autofill Text

Hi and thanks for all the help you have given.

I am trying to figure out if it is possible to do a background semi-transparent cell (or cluster of cells) containing text that can have data entered into without removing the background. For example, I want to create a bid sheet that says something along the lines of "Estimate Only blah blah blah" but I also need to be able to add data into the cells that would already contain this message. Is that even possible?
