    Pivot table burn rate calculation

    Hello All

    See attached.

I am trying to use a pivot table to show me the following how much money I am spending monthly for each of my competency domains.

    Example:

I am trying to use the pivot to calculate the total spent in periods 1, 2, or 3 divided by the Run Rate.

On sheet 2 with the pivot, I have provided a sample column of what I need the pivot to return.

I entered a calculated field into the pivot dividing by the run rate but it fails me.

Please let me know if I can add clarification?

Re: Pivot table burn rate calculation

To get the conversation started, how about a pseudo calculated field?
Start by adding the RTT Run Rate field to the values window and change the field setting to average.
Put a column header in the first available column and use the format painter to make it look as if it is part of the pivot table.
The formula for the pseudo calculated field is =D4/F4
