Deleting picture containing comments results in crash

Hello to all of you,

I am facing this problem: i have created an excel sheet, something like a small data base where one of the cell in each row has an image as a comment.
Trying to delete this comments though seems to create problems.
When I re-open the Excel file a message comes up saying Excel has found unreadable data and if i wish to continue.
If i click yes all picture comments are gone.
The file is protected by password.

Has anyone ever dealt with somthing like this before?

this is what I get as I try to restore the file.
It definately has to do with some kind of unreadable content after deleting a comment that contains an image.
