Exclamation Pulling data from multiple sheets

    Hi,

I am trying to summarize data from multiple sheets into one sheet.

I have dozens of sheets (one for each month going back to 2012) that are all identical and can pull them all into one workbook if needed.

I do not want to sum this data (i.e. not looking to use the data>consolidate function) but rather create one tab that contains all the data from each month.

I've been messing around with the indirect function which I can't seem to make work. Any ideas?

Essentially I want to write a formula that can be copied down vertically to pull all of the data within a tab/month for each category and then can be copy pasted horizontally to pull the same cells but from the prior month's tab.

    Thanks!

Perhaps a sample workbook showing an example of what you have in several tabs and what you wish to have in a master sheet. Use the Go Advanced button at the bottom of the response window.

    Hi, welcome to the forum

I have dozens of sheets (one for each month going back to 2012) that are all identical and can pull them all into one workbook if needed.
that would probably make things a LOT easier, especially if you can create a "summary" sheet that contains all the sheet names (we can help with a UDF function that will do that for you - if needed). Because then you can as you said, use INDIRECT() to pull in the data
