If you are happy with a solution to your problem?
Click Thread Tools above your first post,
select "Mark your thread as Solved".
Insert a new column -name it. for e.g."Helper" and fill it with alphabet "Y"
Use pivot table, copy and paste the pivot table (Special- Numbers/values)
Replace the values by "Y".
Pivot Table:
Insert Tab > Pivot Table > New Worksheet > Drag and drop the "Items" in "Rows", "Dept." in "Columns" and "Helper" in "Values".
