I have a spread sheet I use to keep track of stuff that I update frequently. What I'd like to do is have it automatically format an entire row of data if the value in a certain column is the highest/lowest in that column.
For example:
Date1 Time1 1000 ∆Score1 Misc1 Date2 Time2 1500 ∆Score2 Misc2 Date3 Time3 218 ∆Score3 Misc3 Date4 Time4 9999 ∆Score4 Misc4 Date5 Time5 2345 ∆Score5 Misc5 Date6 Time6 10 ∆Score6 Misc6
What I would like is for the entirety of rows 4 and 6 to be filled green and red respectively, as the values in column C are the highest and lowest respectively. I've done some searching and I think =$C1=MAX($A1:$E6) and =$C1=MIN($A1:$E6) should come into it, but when I try that in conditional formatting it formats rows seemingly at random.
Any help would be appreciated, and sorry if this is an FAQ.
Cheers
