    Excel Adding one to denominators

    Hello everyone!

So I was working on a project last night where I had to compile youth baseball schedules. The data was not in the format it needed to be, so I needed to re-sort it and copy and paste into a new document. I was using Excel on a MAC, and that version of Excel probably dates back to at least 2010. When I would paste in the dates, it would add one to the denominator. IE if I copied 4/22, it would paste as 4/23. I switched to Excel 2016 on my PC when I noticed the problem, and everything was fine.

I don't think it was a setting in the data I was pasting from, because it worked on a different version of Excel.

This is a big deal to me, because I work in a printshop, and the Excel program that was giving me problems is an Excel program that does get used frequently for print projects.

    Any insight would be appreciated.

    Thank You,

    Robert Haas

I don't have any experience with this issue, but this article detailing problems with a similar shift (of 4 yrs and 1 day) spells out the reasons that you might see a shift when you copy and paste from one version of Excel to another. Perhaps you'll find some answers?
