Using an activex contol on the mobile application

    Hi All

I have a macro that is run when pushing an command button, which emails specific users in my company

This has always worked fine on the laptops or pcs, but now we are pushing them out via email to mobile devices using the microsoft excel application on androids, except, this version on the mobile phones doesn't support running or interacting with activex controls

Is there a way to add a button or a link into the excel file that would email from the mobile application, without saving it then going to your email application and adding it as attachment

I know that sounds lazy, but I have to put these buttons in for users otherwise its "difficult" for them to do the simple things haha

    Thanks

That would presumably need a macro. Does Excel for Android permit macros?

No, that's why I'm wondering if there is another way to do it or a way to enable it, as my sheet on the desktop version sends an email by clicking the activex control and calling the macro, this function isn't available on the Microsoft excel android version

I'm not aware of any way.

Not even Excel in a browser running Microsoft Online permits macros.

Ah that's a shame, was trying to be more efficient with users worksheets and not having them to pull out a laptop or sign into a PC

I thought being its a simple code to run it may work, but I guess its got to be all or none

    never mind, thank you
