    Extracting rows based on user input

    Hi all,

    I have a sheet where I am trying to achieve the following:

    There is a raw data sheet with a list of data.

    A user on the user input tab selects pre-determined criteria (Select Loading and Select Area are the examples).

    Values that meet the user selected criteria are extracted in an output sheet

    I would greatly appreciate any help with this, I have been trying for quite some time to no success.

    Thankyou!!!

    Re: Extracting rows based on user input

    For outputs by size, an array formula in outputs by size A4, copied across and down

    =IFERROR(INDEX('Raw Data'!A:A,SMALL(IF('Raw Data'!$O$4:$O$1000>=VLOOKUP('User Inputs'!$C$8,'Model Inputs'!$P$6:$R$9,2,FALSE),IF('Raw Data'!$O$4:$O$1000<=VLOOKUP('User Inputs'!$C$8,'Model Inputs'!$P$6:$R$9,3,FALSE),ROW('Raw Data'!$O$4:$O$1000))),ROWS(A$4:A4))),"")

    and by area, an array formula in "by area", A4:

    =IFERROR(INDEX('Raw Data'!A:A,SMALL(IF('Raw Data'!$K$4:$K$1000='User Inputs'!$F$8,ROW('Raw Data'!$K$4:$K$1000)),ROWS(A$4:A4))),"")

    Array Formulae are a little different from ordinary formulae in that they MUST be confirmed in the FIRST CELL ONLY by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER. After that, the array can be dragged down as normal, to cover the desired range.

    You will know the array is active when you see curly brackets { } - or "curly braces" for those of you in the USA, or "flower brackets" for those of you in India - appear around the outside of your formula. If you do not use CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you will (almost always) get an error message or an incorrect answer. Press F2 on that cell and try again.

    Don't type the curly brackets yourself - it won't work...

    I also added a small lookup table in PQR of inputs, and sorted the areas into ascending order...
