Linking workbooks - issue for looong time (please help!)

Hi guys,

I am new on this forum so please bear with me. There is this one task that I have been assigned to that I have tried to solve for some time - but just keep running into problems. I have 1 workbook with 2 sheets. The first sheet (call it sheet1) displays data. The second sheet (call it sheet 2) displays only the print area. This print area directly refers to sheet1. I basically need sheet2 to be a direct mirror sheet of the snapshot in sheet1. I cannot link it directly like (=sheet1!A1), because that does not take into consideration if I add a new row/column. I need it to directly track all changes such as when I add new columns.

I cannot make a query since it is a shared workbook. Furthermore, making absolute cells does not solve the problem either, and I have also unsuccesfully tried to make a dynamic range using the index function. Please help guys!! I have run out of stuff to try. Would really appreciate it!

and of course this will return 0 if the source is blank. You can incorporate an if statement to turn 0 to "" or formatting to hide 0 values
try to inssert row and column to the original file sheet1

Since you are new to the forum, some hints.
You can mark your thread "SOLVED"

How?
New quick method:
Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Solved. To undo, select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Unsolved.

Or you can use this way:

How to mark a thread Solved
Go to the first post
Click edit
Click Go Advanced
Just below the word Title you will see a dropdown with the word No prefix.
Change to Solved
Click Save
