    Split a cell into two columns or rows without affecting other cells

    Is it possible to split a cell into two columns or rows without affecting other cells?

    Yes it is, but you're going to need to provide more detail if you want people to explain how you would do it in your own particular circumstances.

    Ah okay, I think I understand better, you want to split an actual cell rather than the contents of a cell?

    In that case, no, you can't do that. You could instead merge all the surrounding cells - for instance you could merge G9:H9 into one larger cell. However this can lead to other issues, depending on what you're doing.

    Thanks much. I got it. What can i do in such situation. Can i insert a text box or do something else.......

    What is the reason you need to have two data items in the same cell? Is it just for visual appeal? Why can't you have data in cells G8 and H8?

    I'm trying to type a form for taking print. This is for visual and print appeal.

    If you really do want it to look like that, so ad suggested and merge the 2 cells above and below, and leave that as 2 cells
