Weekly Schedule, copy paste 52 times or other solution?

    Hi,
Ive just had a great quick response to my questions regarding this schedule.

Now as the title says I want to be able to have a new schedule each week.
I still need to be able to look back on past weeks and if the following week is filled in same as previous week that is ok as it will save time as there are not many changes each week as filling the whole schedule up would involve.

I was hoping some kind of drop down menu or something along those lines.

I will leave to your more knowledgeable experience to find a solution that works best.

    Much appreciated...

    .
Here is a small project that does what you are seeking. Clicking the command button creates a copy of the first sheet onto a new Sheet2.
Sheet2 will also have the same command button to create a Sheet3 when needed, etc. etc. This approach allows you to make changes
to the last sheet that will be carried forward to the new sheets.

The code copies data and formulas to the new sheet.

Of course you will need to edit some of the code to fit your worksheet ranges.

    Hi Logit,

Thanks very much for your time to look it over but I in my kindergarten excel stage cannot make head nor tail of that, sorry.

There are 3 sheets on the main workbook so Im not sure how easy to copy that 52 times.

    Thanks

Is it possible to put sheet 2 & 3 on sheet 1 out of the way and still have them work there magic. Then I assume i can just copy each week and create a new tab at the bottom?

Thinking out loud, really no idea...

    Thanks

    See Attached:

    Add tabs "Dashboard" and "Template"

"Dashboard" has year start date (which is named range "Year_Start") and Button to invoke macro.

"Template" has week date in A1 which is changed by macro for each week plus now has the "hours" table.

Sheets are labelled "Week 1", "Week 2" but this can be changed

RUN macro which will generate Weeks 1 to 4.

If this works OK, delete the Sheets "Week 1" to "Week 4" , change 3 in macro to 51 and re-run

Re: Weekly Schedule, copy paste 52 times or other solution?

I just reviewed my attachment in Post #4 ... obviously the wrong file. My apologies.
My mind has left me this week ... really don't know what to say. It's been a bad week.
Hopefully with Easter ... this week will be better. Again, my apologies.

JohnTopley's solution is perfect ! Good show.

    Cheers.

Hi Donald- I'm a little late to this, but I've built a workbook for you that has several useful features:
    1) A formula that reads your "simple entries" and calculates Total Hours WITHOUT referencing extra sheets.
    2) Dynamic dates that adjust automatically to the appropriate week for any date you enter, and (hopefully) reflect your regional preferences.
    3) A drop-down list of saved schedules you can view and use as templates, plus a simple 'Save' Button.
    4) A storage scheme that saves all your schedules on 1 worksheet, where they can be filtered if you so desire.

Please let me know what you think. I hope you'll find it useful. Take care- Lee

See Post # 8- Attachment Upgraded- Version 2 has more reliable code for the listbox, auto-formatting for new rows, and a help button.
