I have encountered a strange problem in Excel 2010 which I haven't encountered before. I have built an accounting system for a friends business which is now complete. The foundation of the spreadsheet is that it runs on lists that can be updated i.e New Supplier 1 up to New Supplier 400 together with New Sales 1 up to New Sales 350. However what excel is doing is when I find New Supplier 1 it is also finding all of the other New Supplier entries that start with 1 i.e New Supplier 10 up to 19, as it sees the cell as the same entry even though it's not. I have tried to use the match case and other checkbox and it doesn't seem to make a difference as it needs to update all cell and formula entries. I built a version using 2010 back in 2013 and this didn't happen as I have used the same principles to build the new version this year and I am stumped 🤔
