Excel Online - External Links Disabled - OneDrive

    Hi All,

I have an excel model spread over several excel documents that all relate to each other with VLOOKUP etc.

It's works fine when I have the original files to hand, but when I uploaded them all to OneDrive and then try to access them I get the following error (see attached image) when I open and try to edit.

'Links Disabled. Links to external workbooks are not supported and have been disabled.'

Is there a way around this so I can edit via excel online rather than the actual files I created on my laptop?
If there is I would very much appreciate a step by step guide to the solution.

    I'm using Excel 2016.

    Thanks.

Anyone able to shed any light on this?

I just want to be able to work on the model via excel online when I'm on the move.

I have exactly the same problem with Vlookup.
When the two files are local (not synced to OneDrive) the 2 workbooks "talk" to each other perfectly.
When I move them to OneDrive no updating takes place and the links are broken, only the values are displayed, the formulas are gone.
I need to access these workbook when I am mobile but it seems like the linking process is radically different when using OneDrive.
