view two areas of same worksheet at the same time

In excel 2007, I want to be able to view two areas of the same worksheet that are basically kitty-corner from each other, side by side.

For example, I want to see A1:C50 and then directly to the right of it, see D51:H100 (I want to be able to hide rows in A1:C50 and not obstruct the view of information to the right)

Is this possible, without using "view-> new window". I want to see it in the same window. Split view does not appear to let you have two Y axis side by side?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm not aware that you can do this 'on the face of the sheet' but you could use the Camera tool to view the area. This sits 'on top' of the sheet and isn't affected by hiding rows or columns.

"Camera Tool" does exactly what I'm looking for it to do, thank you!

I was not aware "Camera Tool" existed, and somehow 2 hours of googling did not lead me to this hidden function in excel!

    Thank you again!

My pleasure and thanks for the rep.

Yes, it's one of Excel's hidden gems and has not reached a critical mass of mentions for it to be easily found in google searches. If you're interested in some of the other 'hidden' depths of Excel then check out the old Excel4 'macro' GET.CELL. This provides a lot more information than the regular =CELL() function.
