Conditional Formatting Based on trend- 2 conditions

    Hello,

I am testing a way to be able to input a conditional format based on a 13 month trend report. Based on the information below, I am trying to say if the trend of the current month is going down than turn green. If the current month is trending up then turn red.

Does anyone have any ideas of how I can do this? The most important value is the current month and how it is comparing to the previous months.

    Company Apr-16 May-16 Jun-16 Jul-16 Aug-16 Sep-16 Oct-16 Nov-16 Dec-16 Jan-17 Feb-17 Mar-17 Apr17
    A 41.3 40.3 41.7 45.6 43.1 55.8 76.9 84.5 81.8 82.4 79.3 61.1 61.8

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

There are only 13 months shown. If you're looking for a 13 month rolling average then we need at least 14 months to be able to compare months 2-14 with months 1-13.

Would you upload the workbook with more data and confirm that it is indeed a rolling 13 month comparison that you're after and indicate what the results should look like.

As far as you're describing this formatting rules should do the trick.
Make cell C2 is selected when entering the conditions.
