Calculate volume of a value based on what the value.

Hello, I am new to excel and have put together a list of items based on:
Type, Amount owned, amount desired, and the cost.
And am trying to create a couple pie charts that add values based on another cells value if possible, because currently basic countif is not doing what I would like to occur.

If possible, I would like the first pie chart that uses the Cost as a value, which if met, counts the "amount desired" value there are.
Example image (bottom): I would like to find a way (for pie chart) of some sort to define that there are 10, 1 cost items in the list.

I would also like to create another pie chart similarly that will show how many of said label(A,C,I,S,etc..) is based on the amount desired from the entirety.
Example image (top): I would like for a calculation to count the "amount desired" of a label "A", in this case, there are 6 desired with the label "A"

If it is not clear enough I will try to reword, but I hope you can understand and assist, any help is appreciated, thank you.

figured it out, using the sumif function starting with cost,=1,then what should be counted if "=1 is met" which is the "amount owned" and use those as inputs for the pie chart.

If that takes care of your original question, please select Thread Tools from the menu link above and mark this thread as SOLVED. Thanks.

In future, you will get more responses by attaching a workbook instead of an image of one.
