Hi
I have a spreadsheet and I need to sort a3 and b3 down to a14 and b14
then d3 and e3 down to d14 and e14 is there a way of doing this automatically
rather than doing a manual sort ?
any help would really be appreciated

(Hi there, I believe I have some family living in Houghten Regis, and I lived in Beds when I was a todler)
You cannot make anything like that "just happen", you will need to use some VBA. However, this should is a simple (relatively) process, and you could probably record a macro (VBA) that will do this for you, and add a "button" on the sheet that will do teh sorting when you click it
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Hi Lloyd,
If you sort A3 to A14, "A - Z"
Then sort D3 to D14, "A - Z"
Wouldn't this change the "order" in A3 to A14?

If you select the first range and sort it, then select the second range and sort it, ignoring any suggestions that Excel might make to extend the range, they will be sorted independently.
But, nothing's automatic. You'd need VBA for that.
