Hi,
I have a very annoying prob. I attach a pic. I have two PCs both windows 10 office 365
When i move a file ( no matter if .xls or .txt) and place it on the excel icon on desktop a text - " + Open with Excel 2016" shows, which is fine.
On the other pc when i do the same a red icon shows and none of the files open.
I would be really thankful if s.o. knows how to fix this.
icon drag.jpg
open blank excel workbook
go to "open"
from respective drive select the file
click on open arrow select "open and repair"

thank you but the problem is not that the file is corrupted. The file is ok. The problem is that on one of the PCs any file opens when i place it on the icon and on the other not. Please look at the pic. The first shows the pc which does not work the second the one that works
I think that may be path problem.
Right click on icon, click on properties & check the all parameters.
I found out what it is. My desktop is shared on a cloud hence the issue. Thank you anyway.
