Continue Conditional Format or formula down column with missing cells

    Hi,
I am trying to take the "Date of Hearing" column, Column B, and the "Completed" column, Column K, to find out the number of days to completion in the "Complete" column, Column N. I have used conditional formatting and everything seems to be going okay until I get to two rows where the above cell is blank; for example, Rows 46 and 47.

    Here is my question:
If I fill in a date in Column B and no date is filled in yet in Column K on Line 46, then Column N does not calculate until it is filled in which is fine.
What if on Line 47 I then fill in Column B and Column K with dates, I can't get an answer to my formula in Column N because the cell above in Column is blank still.

Is there a way to copy the formula down the worksheet and take into account that the cell above may not be filled in yet or won't be filled in til later.

    Thanks for any help.
    Lin

The formula in N does not take anything into account from any row, other than the row it's in. the reason that N47 remains blank, even when both dates are there is that the formula has not been copied down as far as row 47. fix that and your problem is gone....

Re: Continue Conditional Format or formula down column with missing cells

That makes sense. when I do copy it down I then get a "0" automatically which sometimes is correct because there are zero days calculated. But if there isn't any info filled in for that line, how can I get the "0" not to show until there is info filled on each line?
Would you be able to help with that?

I am updating the upload to show what I have now.

    Thanks in advance.

A slightly different issue. One way, in M2, copied down:

    =IF(K2="","",DATEDIF(B2,K2,"d"))
