Add a singular space before every entry in particular cell.

Hi again lovely folk!

I've created a file document for my office. And I've got an issue with the layout, just slightly. I'd like to auto-add a space in-front of every text/number entry in my cells. Is there a way to do this, or do I have to add an empty column just to have that space between entry & border?

Provide some example data, specify clearly what each cell contains and what results you are expecting to get.

Hi friend.

Well, I have these unlocked cells that require input/data. So, when I key in let's say, "1,230.45", the "1" is too close to the cell's border on the left. Is there any way I can avoid that but auto adding a " " before every new entry?

Without actually adding the space yourself, or using VBA, there is no way to just "add" the space. Also note that if you add a space before a number, that number becomes text and is no longer available for regular calcs.

If all you are trying to do is add exta (visual) room, just make the column a bit wider?

omg... Don't add a space. Nothing will work. Ever again. Many of the problems that folk, here, have with formulae are caused by the spaces you're wanting to introduce. If merged cells are the spawn of Satan... spaces are the cousins of Satan.
