Matching 3 variables for histogram table

    Hey,

I have three columns of variables that I am trying to make a histogram chart out of. I have Away (from 0), BD (business days), and Risk. I attached a JPEG of the table I set up. I am trying to match my aways by the frequencies that I set up, by business day, and input the risk level at that point. For example: At 2 business days (closest to 2), it is an away of 45 (which is closest to 50), with a risk of whatever number.

Does anybody have a suggestion how to accomplish this?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Please upload the workbook and manually add the results you expect to see clearly identifying which are the result cells and how you arrive at them.
You also mention a 'risk of whatever number'. I have no idea what you mean by risk nor indeed what a 'whatever number' might be.

Risk will be a numerical value. So for example: at 2 bd, the away is 45 (which rounds to 50 on my distribution), and the risk will be say 500.

What do you mean by 'say 500'?

Excel needs certainty, it's not very good at guessing the right answer. Is there some sort of rule that calculates the risk.

But as said, upload the workbook with manually added results. These things are often easier to solve when we know the end goal.

    Attached.

So for example. For BD 5, there is an away of 2.2 and (2.6) which both are closest to 0. Since they are in the same "bucket" (as in they both round closest to 0 in my table) I want to add their risks and put it in the column of my table under BD2 and 0 which is Cell P4.

For BD 10, the away is .9 which would go in BD 10 closest to 0, 26.7 is BD10 closest to 25, and 50.9 is also BD10 closest to 50.

So I am trying to create a formula I guess that will fill the sheet that way, and once it's filled I can create a histogram of the data

What about the BD numbers like say 9,12,16...etc which are not in your matrix.

Please manually add all the results you expect to see as requested so that we may know the end goal.
