Could you please help me in letting me know how do we chart a timeline with just entry date closure dates.
I have few markets which were introduced , closed and stopped because of compliance . I have the markets and factors ( market entry market closure and compliance ) with dates . How do I chart a timeline to show for example marker Ghana started in Feb 16 and ended May 2015. Please help in charting a timeline graph.

It is not clear to me exactly what you want, but I would guess you are looking for a "Gantt chart". Several tutorial out there. Maybe try this one from Microsoft: https://support.office.com/en-us/art...rs=en-US&ad=US

I am not sure what you mean. Assuming your dates are stored as real date/time serial numbers, then dates are values (with fancy number formatting applied), and there should be no difference between charting values and dates.
On the other hand, if your dates are text strings (as they often are), then the first step I would suggest in using those dates in a chart is to convert the "dates as text" into real date/time serial numbers. From there, we might need to see what you have tried that isn't working to see if helps us understand what you are trying to do, why it isn't working, and make better suggestions.
Ok dates part is clear.
Now each task has 3 subtasks with its own timeline. How do I chart in single bar for each task with 3 splits.
Look at this How to create timeline project with vertical today marker. Maybe you will find something what you need.
A Gantt chart is basically a formatted stacked bar chart, so it should just be a matter of having three "data series" to represent each split.
Sorry would be great if you can share any example where in I can see the same and use the same table for populating my data.

To you ? Cuz I cannot find any example where it shows for each tasks three sub tasks and split within its timeline ( 2014-2018 by month)

Would be fine to see example excel file from you.
Attach a sample workbook (not a picture). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.
Remember to desensitize the data.
Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
If you look at the sample data in microsoft's help file example, they have one "division" in their Gantt chart series (column C days left for completion). In order to get additional "stacks" for additional divisions of a task, simply add columns.Be sure to include the additional columns in your stacked bar "Gantt" chart source data.
