    Re: Getpivotdata Error

So exactly where is the error? And what's your expected result?

    Re: Getpivotdata Error

    Hello,

Thanks for the prompt response, in the attached file, if you go tot the tab Overview, Cell D8 and couple of other cells show a formula error.

To get an understanding I am trying to extract data from pivot (another tab named Pivots) on to this tab.

Hmm? I'm not getting error on my end.

Or do you mean "Inconsistent Formula error"? That's just Excel telling you that the formula in the cell is not using same syntax as the formula in cells above and below.
Just ignore it in your case.

    Re: Getpivotdata Error

Exactly I meant Inconsistent Formula error..I understand that its an Excel warning. But I just wanted to know if there was another way I could have got that formula to work to avoid this error and not ignore it. Just curious..

    Re: Getpivotdata Error

On a different note, I am currently working on the Dashboard tab, as you would I see I was able to get the 1st graph. But As you have in the Overview tab, Is there a way I can make a chart to show Revenue/Visits based on Channels. The chart will use the Overview tab as data source. I can select the Revenue column, but Channels is outside the table so I am not sure how to include that as chart data source.

Okay I got the chart working now, if you could just guide me with the formula warning, I want to know if there is a way to avoid it and not ignore it!

    Re: Getpivotdata Error

Normally, I'd set up copy of the pivot that includes Channels and base 2nd chart off of it. Link both pivot through slicer or other methods.
