Angry How to delete excess cells at the bottom?

    Hi to all,

Currently I am using excel 2010. If i am wrong please correct me. I have an issue with the lagness when I am using my excel file. The file size is 1.15mb and i had clear all the conditionally format, so I suspect that it may be the excess cells below that is causing it. It can goes all the way down till A1048576, I can't seems to remove the excess cells. Anyone can guide me? Thanks

Hi blanko- If you press CTRL+END (may be the 1 key on the number pad -turn off NumLock to use), Excel takes you to the last USED cell. If it's way out in apparently unused territory, select the extra columns. Now right-click and select Delete. Do the same for the unused rows. Next, check your formulas. If you've just deleted referenced cells, they won't work anymore, so Hit UNDO, then change those references. Repeat until everything works, then Save.

I don't remeber in Ex2010 is INQUIRE as add-in or built-in - so you can use it to analyze your workbook. There is also option to Clean Excess Cell Formatting

Yes, that was probably obvious, but better to suggest early. You didn't say, is your workbook slow to LOAD, slow to CALCULATE, or both?
