Linking One Slicer To Multiple Tables (Not Pivot Tables) in Excel 2016

I have multiple Tables (regular Tables/not Pivot Tables) that I am trying to link to a single slicer. Is this not possible?

I am currently using Excel 2016

    Hi hkfenmil,

It looks like you can do this. You will need the same column heading in both tables. I've created two tables in the attached and two slicers, one for each table, then simply delete the second slicer. Now the single slicer works with both tables. See the attached.

    Hi MarvinP,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I opened your spreadsheet and when I made a selection on the slicer, it only correctly affected the left table, while the right table was just shrunk due to the left table being shrunk. Take a look at the attached screenshot.

Did I do something wrong, or am I misunderstanding?

    1. add first table to Data Model
    2. add second table to Data Model
    3. create relationship between columns (the same in both tables with unique values) eg. ID <--> ID
    4. create slicer for table (which one is up to you)

Hi, This is something I would also love to have a solution for.
To be clear: It would be great to be able to filter multiple Excel tables (NOT Pivot tables) using the same slicer.
It would also be very interesting to have the same slicer connected to an Excel table (not pivot) and one or more pivot tables.

The reason that I want to do this is that I want the users to be able to filter in the table and then update certain data. When they do this, I want to be able to present summary reports using pivot tables (based on the selections they have made).
e.g. if they select a specific country and make changes, the reports should give a summary for this Country.

    kind regards,
