I have a list of 8500 suppliers that I need to find the duplicates and remove them the thing is that some of them do not have the same name for example BMW Group and BMW AG and I also need to get rid of all the branches as well I wish you know a formula or a VBA code that could help because now I am just looking at google to find if they are the same and it is taking hell lot of time and I have to submit this at the end of the day.

You don't add an small excel file on the forum, so we can't show it to you.
But I would make a new list on a seperated sheet. Sort the data on name. Look a which one needs to be changed. Put the changed name in column B.
Use VLookup to get the right name in your original data.
Notice my main language is not English.
