Drop Down List to Show Symbols versus Letters

Hi All, curious if there is a way to show the actual symbol in a drop down list versus the associated letter, such as in the attached sample. I am trying to use happy, medium, sad faces to reflect mood and the drop down in column I shows the letters J, K, and L versus the associated symbols in column L.

    Is it possible?

    Thanks!

    Good afternoon sherylt13

No, there isn't. The font type and size from the data validation tool are fixed and there is no way to change it.

One workaround would be to use the ActiveX combobox tool to draw and populate your own combobox, but this would require you drawing your own box on every line of your report. If you're interested in going down that route, there are instructions to do so here.
