    Filter boxes close by themselves

Good afternnon Colleagues from the forum,

I would like you to help me in the following situation:

From a few days ago, I started having a problem in all Excel files where I use filters in the columns.
The problem is when clicking on the arrows of the filters: the filter dialog opens (as it is supposed to happen) but closes itself soon then, not giving time to choose the filter of text that we intend, or to order, or filter by color, etc.

As I have the files in Dropbox, I realized that this problem does not happen on a computer where I still have Excel in the 2007 version. On other computers where I have Excel 2010, the problem is happening in all of them, but it did not previously happen.

Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?

    Thank you very much.

Pedro Ramalho welcome to the forum.

I do not have DropBox myself. This problem is showing up frequently in the forum. There are two methods that I am aware of.

Try these links. While one references the other link there is a proposed method in one of the posts.

Thank you very much for your fast reply Dave.

The cause of the problem is really identificated in the discussion that you indicated. And the solution also!
It seems that it's a conflict between Dropbox and the latest Microsoft update.
The solution proposed by one member is changing in the Dropbox preferences the Dropbox Badge option to "Never show".
I tried this and it does resolved my problem. The operation has to be done in all computers, not only in one.

Thank you so much Dave, and Excel Forum in general, for such an effective support.
