Data validation drop down with calendar selection

Hi there,

I'm trying to figure out whether there is any way of getting a calendar drop down option in Excel 2016? Rather than free-typing a date, a month-by-month calendar would drop down (almost like a Validation circle) and a user would then select one date from the calendar.

Any help/ advice would be greatly received.

IMHO
i never like date pickers
and prefer digital pad on keyboard. just digits and slashes. one does not need to put in a current year, excel understands.
