How to Label Cell A1 as Q7-Q23

Please, I need urgent help on this steps. I am an excel rookie but I have to finish up this teacher assessment template 8pm today. I get the rest of the steps in my tutorial but the first step is either too technical for me to understand or wrong. I have posted the first five below. Please, help me.

    TEMPLATE DESIGN PROCEDURES

    1. Label cell A1 as Q7 – Q23 to cell U30 as Q30
    2. Freeze top row (go to view, locate freeze panes, select FREEZE TOP ROW)
    3. Scroll down to row 40 for input average (e.g. =AVERAGE(A2:A39) formula for each cell (i.e. A1 to U30)
    4. Leave row #41 blank
    5. Scroll down to row 42 to begin summary report design

Re: I don't understand the first three steps

You've done 2 haven't you, the answer is in brackets.

Not sure I understand 1 meself. It's gramatically incorrect.
    Is it saying
    Label A1 as Q7
    Label Q23:U30 as Q30
in which case just use the Name Manager.

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.

Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.

To change a Title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

(This thread should receive no further responses until this moderation request is fulfilled, as per Forum Rule 7)

Re: I don't understand the first three steps

Thankks very much!I am sorry I posted a duplicate. I saw other members state a clear problem other than a vague statement like "I need help" as the subject. That is why I reposted to state my problem clearly. Thank you.
