Hello,
I came across a post titled 'File saved history log' on the browser but i could not find once i was in the forum.
For my business I have an 'end of day' file that each store saves the days sales. I'm wanting to find out the history of when the file is saved. Is this possible?

Paste this into the module that opens and close it.

The code works for hidden sheets so you could name your sheet SaveLog and hide it.

I have copy and pasted, but when i try to save i get this reply:
Visual macros will be removed if you save the file in this format. Are you sure you want to use this format?
Is this correct?

Make sure that you use "save as"
Then save the file as "Macro Enabled"

When i go to send i get the reply:
Run-time error '9':
Subscript out of range
I then press 'debug' and
With Sheets("Sheet1")
is highlighted yellow

Do you have a sheet called Sheet1?
The Macro is looking for a Sheet called Sheet1 to store the log
